Re: Free For All: Spider-man & Open
"Normal is a relative term, buddy," Peter replied, "And Batman is the reason they're getting locked up. They've always been around, but he's making people aware!" Okay, so he had a bit of hero worship for Batman. But he felt the same way about Superman and the Flash, and heck, even the Green Lanterns. But when someone actually started fighting crime, people too notice. It made people aware that they weren't as safe as they wished they was, but also gave them hope that someone was there watching their back.
Peter didn't take kindly to being told he was out of his league. "What's my deal?" he asked dodging what he could but knowing that if he stopped to reply by looking at this Green Goblin character, he'd get hit again. "My deal is that I can't let people like the ones down there get back out and hurt more people than they already have." He could stop now and with the grenade in his hand, he could see the ocean. Peter pulled the pin and then threw it as hard as he could. It would either explode in mid-air or once it hit the water. either way, it wasn't going to explode here.
"It doesn't matter if I have 'juice' or training, Greenie," Peter began climbing up the wall, "I'm not letting people I care about get hurt because I stood aside!" And with that he leaped up with intentions of snagging onto the glider.
