Re: Free For All: Damian, Laura, Open to Jason
"You did? Why?" Damian was genuinely confused. It wasn't that he hadn't found her fascinating. Her skills were certainly remarkable and he had wanted to question her further but it wasn't exactly a time sensitive matter. Current circumstances as it were, it might not have been a proper venue for a conversation but Damian wasn't sure when next he'd get an opportunity. Best to make the most of it.
Unlike Laura, Damian was couldn't really afford the distraction. Without his sword, his rhythm off and his skills seemed to suffer. The bits and pieces he had on him: flashbangs, a few gas pellets, and such served their purpose well but were more for crowd control than anything else. Without a ranged weapon, Damian had no choice but to opt for close combat more often than not.
He punched one escapee in the throat and the man fell to the ground. Damian took the moment to study the oncoming crowd. "No one important," he explained. No one that would be missed. No costumes, no capes. Just criminals who had been too violent for other facilities or who had unfortunately ended up in Blackgate's overflow.
