The kid's response was actually amusing to Len. He wasn't concerned about getting in trouble, or paying a tab, or getting the cops called on him. Given his age, look, and the fact that he'd passed out in a bar, Len could almost guarantee that he'd been in trouble with the law before. Not to mention that problem-with-authority fuck-the-Man attitude that was prevalent in a lot of teenagers... but there were some who never outgrew it.

Len nodded his agreement with Mark. They weren't going to make him pay. Rules were rules, and no one was above them (most of the time). He finished his beer as he gathered up Tommy's things and finally stood, heading over to Tommy and Mark at the bar.
