"I was away until recently," Selina replied, her hands lowered to sit on her lap, "Six months away on charity work. Saudi Arabia. That was an eye opener, let me tell you." It had been. In more ways than one. Not only had it enriched Selina literally, it'd opened her eyes to what she should be doing.
"But now I'm back, just working with my charity, doing what I can to help out in the east end. I remember what is was like when we were growing up. How different I was when you knew me. I don't want that to be the case for kids here any more." Selina shrugged a little, as she realised she might be coming off a little preachy for a billionaires birthday party - and not only that, spoiling her almost perfect disguise.
"But aside from that. The usual. I missed Gotham believe it or not."
Selina smiled at Dinah, looking her over again, more carefully this time.
"You know, we should head to the gym again sometime. See if we've still got it." One thing she remembered clearly from her time sparring and working with Dinah was her tenacity and skill -- also the fact that she was a challenge. And Selina liked a challenge, especially when her opponent might have all the cause in the world to underestimate her.
