Re: Dinah & Oliver & Bruce (the bastard)
Bruce winked again in response to Dinah's expression, his grin widening just a little, looking for all the world like he was flirting with her, but really acknowledging her reaction to the situation.
"Yes, a ways," he answered Oliver. "Some... twenty-six years now, I think. He's like a brother to me." Bruce always left off exactly how they'd met unless people asked, and then left it with the vague reference to their having been school boys together. Anyone doing the math might have been able to make the connection to Stark's M.I.T. days (something Bruce wanted people to forget about him), but mostly people assumed their mutual schooling had occurred much younger.
Widening his eyes as Oliver - and Bruce had to smile at seeing him mimic the rich boy speak once more; it was almost endearing - introduced him to Dinah, Bruce looked impressed. "Wow, yes, of course. I'm a Gotham boy. I'm honored to meet you, Ms. Canary." He bowed over her hand again with another rakish grin before releasing it.
"I appreciate all you do for our city; my family has always worked hard to help serve her, and it's good to know others do, too." He smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you, as well."
