"I... I can't," Wanda admitted, her shoulders slumping forward in defeat. "I can't give you proof. None that you wouldn't think I tainted. I could bring Captain America, Superman or even Thor to tell you I'm being truthful, but why would you believe someone I could have asked to say what I wanted you to hear? I could try to bring you to Loki himself and make him admit he was using you, but you would only think I was forcing him to admit it."
She allowed her head to droop for a moment before forcing herself to look Billy in the eye. "Nothing I present as proof will make you believe me... not when you don't have any desire to try to."
She shook her head sadly, a pained expression on her face. "I should go. You don't want me here." She turned away from him. "Just... please watch out for Loki. He may seem like a noble and caring person, but he will gladly stab you in the back if it suits him."
