"It makes all the difference in the world," Loki responded, spiteful of his heritage, of being the unwanted child, never good enough, not like the others. Would the rest of Asgard be as open to welcome back the son of Laufey as Thor? After the All-Father had cast him out for his transgressions? With his reputation as a trouble-maker, even among the mortals? Loki did not think so, and believed Thor to be living in a dream world where things were perfect.
Thor then started to leave, and Loki desperately shouted out, "Wait!"
The intense expression he wore was crumbling to reveal something quite different underneath. Was it regret? Concern?
He paused until he knew he had Thor's attention.
"Make sure she's alright," he muttered in a voice that was barely audible through the cage.
