The moment Loki saw that Thor began his approach, he stiffened his posture and held his ground, unafraid and unashamed. Those eyes of burning anger remained fixed upon Thor's, ready to take any harsh words or critisim his brother cared to deal.
Loki's response to Thor's words came bitterly and full of bile. "Tis easy for you to say, standing free on the other side of this cage." For a brief moment, his gaze shifted to look over his brother's shoulder at the exit through which Wanda left, making sure she had truly left. "She is better off without me." He returned his gaze to Thor. "It's a fool's dream to think we could be as we once were, and you are a fool."
How could he return to a home he was cast out from, by a father who lied to him, covered up his true identity and then rejected him?
