"Lian's a good helper." Dinah commented as she followed Ollie back into the house. He did look good, that was for sure. "You look good." She said, not just politely but smiled. It was good to see him again. As much as she hated to admit it, even to herself, Dinah had missed this, not just the family and the chili but... this. Him.
She was just opening her mouth to say something when Mia yelled right back at Ollie about him yelling at her, and Dinah couldn't help but laugh and pretended that she didn't hear the bit about Ollie dressing up, just in case he wanted to pretend that he hadn't... and she'd pretend she hadn't done the same. She grinned and hugged Mia tight, patting her back before letting her go. "Hi sugar. I'm doing good; how about you? How do you like your new school?"
She beamed at Lian as she ran over and held up the picture, and Dinah knelt down to Lian's eye level to take a good longer at it. "Well would you look at the. There's me and you and Mia. I love the heart, sweetie. This is beautiful! Can I take it home with me to put on my fridge?" It probably wouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone that Di's fridge was caked with Lian's art work (and the walls were caked with pictures of all of them).
