Lian chose that moment to reemerge from the den, where she'd been set up with her coloring earlier in the evening. Before she'd helped grandpa Ollie with dinner, of course!
"Lookit, Di! I drawed it fer you!" she said (announced, really), displaying her crayoned masterpiece proudly. "It's me,'n'you'n'Mia!"
Sure enough, it was a picture of stick-figure!Dinah, stick-figure!Mia, with stick-figure!Lian between them. They were all holding hands, and Mia and Dinah both had long blonde (yellow) hair. Lian's hair was black. Lian and Dinah both wore dresses (pink and black, respectively), while stick-figure!Mia was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, much like her real-life counterpart. There was a happy sun in the top corner and a red heart in the space above stick-figure!Lian.
The little girl (who was really a big girl in her own mind) was very proud of her work. It was definitely fridge-worthy.
