Dinah had always loved kids; and it helped that she was pretty good with them. She loved being Lian's godmother and made sure to strut that excuse around anytime she wanted to see her. She laughed when Lian dashed off to get her picture (then quickly remembered not to run and put the breaks on) and Dinah shook her head a little, endlessly amazed at just how much energy she had. Many days, Di thought the little girl would be able to keep up with the Flash, if they'd just give her enough Pixie Stix.
"Thanks for inviting me." She said, slipping inside while Lian was distracted. Dinah refused to acknowledge the awkwardness as she took her jacket off . She wore polka-dot blouse, a pair of dark colored skinny jeans and caramel colored boots. She hung her jacket up on the coat rack as she moved out of the way to let Oliver close the door behind them.
It was funny how much the smell of Ollie's infamous chili reminded her of the smell of home. This wasn't even her home-- and her mother had never made chili much when she was young. But it was the way their home always smelled, whether they'd had chili recently or not (it didn't just burn tongues and bellies, it also burned its smell into wall paper, carpets and the rare paint it didn't peel off walls).
