Ted Grant had taken a break from the hero game 4 years ago. He had stared his own gym to teach people how to defend themselves. On the way home last night he happened on a mugging and pummeled the would be thieves. He thought about it that night and decided he had put off being a hero again long enough. He called Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent to have them meet him at Grant's Gym. He said he had something important to tell them. He also asked them to bring some of the other members of the Justice League.

Barda leaned against the counter top with her arms crossed and eyes not moving from the oven before her. She was determined to get this batch of brownies right, not charcoaled on the edges. Chocolate smelt terrible when scorched and she liked chocolate. Apokolips didn't have any kind of chocolate, or sweets come to think about it. The recipe said the brownies would be done in 17 minutes and by Highfather's eye, she would not fail to retrieve them at precisely that time.
