It had been too long. He'd been sitting on these thought for too long. He'd been thinking about what Lawless had said for weeks now. Some big grand romantic gesture just didn't seem like something Niccolo would like, but maybe it would be good for World End to show his appreciation. Or his affection. At least tell him he thought he was pretty. Or cool. Yeah cool. Cool worked. Romance was not something World End was good at. It was easier to skip the small talk and get right to the fun side of it all. Niccolo? Well...
He'll like these... World End sat back on his heels and looked at the small bouquet in his hand. He'd spent the last hour or so picking wild flowers, though most of it was the walk out here to the lake. A small blush colored his cheeks, If this goes south I'm killing Lawless. He cared a lot about Niccolo. He hadn't told Lawless, or anyone really, but there was something about Niccolo that just drew him in. World End felt like he belonged at his side. If that wasn't love then he had no clue what else it could be. Besides, Niccolo was cute and World End really liked looking at him. Especially the softer faces he made when he sketched or the smiles he gave. There was something about him. It was almost like there was a fire in Niccolo that burned very bright and defiant, but it burned warmly with compassion. He wanted to bask in that light.
By the time he'd gotten back to the Manor the sun had set fully and World End's stomach was jittery. His bouquet had lost a flower or two on the way over here and some flowers were being strangled slightly in his fist. Lawless's advice bounced around his head like loose balloons. "You want to be suave when you give him this gift. Take hold of one of his hands. Give him a compliment. Tell him you like his eyes, that you can just get lost in them." He made a mental checklist. Everything should work out fine right? I can follow some advice can't I? How is Niccolo not saying anything a good sign? He started to spiral a bit, If both saying nothing and saying something are good signs then what's a bad sign? Just outright rejection? He hoped it wouldn't be out right objection. He wasn't sure he'd recover from that. Especially not if Lawless made a big deal out of it. This is a mistake isn't it? No. Just go to tell him he's cool. World End calmed himself with a breath and focused on looking for Niccolo. You're just telling him he's cool and you like his company.
He found Niccolo by the garden shed. World End hesitated and watched Niccolo work for a moment. He's... really pretty. Goddammit, he belongs in the sun. The moonlight did wonders for Niccolo's soft looking hair and his pretty face, but it was nothing compared to what World End imagined he'd look like in the sun. The way the sun glistered off his hair and brought warmth and light to Niccolo's skin was something he wasn't sure he had the words to describe. He doesn't deserve to be stuck gardening at night. World End started to walk over, but he wasn't aware of how his footsteps were with a purpose. That's not fair to him. He was caught up in his own thoughts, He deserves to be able to draw in a sunny afternoon and see how the shadows sit on the manor. World End walked with a serious face and a steady pace, like he was going to fuck one some up. However, his head was full of thoughts about Niccolo and how the world wasn't fair.
He made it to Niccolo, fueled with the idea that he deserved better than this. World End slammed his hand on the wall behind Niccolo, leaning in slightly, "Niccolo! I think you're pretty and you deserve so much better than just gardening at night. These are for you. I hope you like them." He offered his now even more crumpled bouquet. World End's face was really intense, he'd been thinking so intensely about this entire moment he didn't really realize how he was coming across.
