WHO: Apollo and Hermes WHEN: Friday WHERE: Hermes' hospital room WHAT: Brotherly visits WARNINGS: TBA
That's going to take some doing Hermes had said, and of course Apollo had taken it as a personal challenge. Whatever else Hermes was, he was an Olympian, he'd been attacked by Lucifer, and Apollo wasn't going to let an attack on Olympus stand. He couldn't take on Lucifer himself (as much as Apollo would've loved to try, he knew it would end in defeat) but that didn't mean he was just going to let his victims wither away in a mortal hospital.
He couldn't even feel any righteous satisfaction in knowing that Hermes had been tormented by Lucifer in the same way that Hermes had ensured Apollo was tormented in Tartarus, because it had been the fucking devil doing the tormenting and Apollo was against the devil in every single way.
It didn't take him long to get to the hospital from campus, so just minutes after they'd spoken online Apollo was bursting into Hermes' private room like a blaze of midday sun, laying both hands on the bar at the foot of his bed and looking down at the starved version of his brother. "Well," he said, trying not to show his alarm at just how big of a job this might be. "You weren't wrong."
