Cin knew that he was studying medicine, but she'd always sort of assumed he was in it for the money. Doctors made bank, after all. It was the sort of job you did if daddy was rich: doctors, lawyers, stock market dudes. But she found she believed him right now when he was saying he was in it to help people. Could never have been Cin - why would she want to be helping people she didn't even know? He own family needed enough of her attention.
"I'm hungry," Cin said, taking a sip of her wine and going back to sit down. "Thanks for dinner," she added, not looking at him and slightly uncomfortable. Cin usually felt she was owed things, but maybe right now it could pay to say a thank you.
