What: Looking for the right place for their new charity

Thomas felt a little like a chauffeur, but at least they were at the point of looking for property to open their new charity. It meant they actually had the funding to do so, which was amazing. He pulled up at the curb of the next place on their tour of the city and he let Isaiah and Galina out of the car as well. "This one doesn't have an agent available so they just gave me the key to it," he said with a shrug, heading towards the door to unlock it.

"Is this number three or four, I've lost count?" Galina asked Isaiah.

Isaiah wasn't too sure how much help he'd be in picking out a property, but he'd tagged along anyway. He liked Thomas, and he was invested in helping out. He didn't know Galina all that well, but she seemed nice enough.

"Four, I think?" he answered as he got out of the car. "Though you're right, I'm starting to lose track. I feel like my contributions so far have been, 'Yup, this is definitely a building'." He laughed, a touch self-deprecatingly.

Galina laughed and smiled widely at him, trooping inside once Thomas admitted them. "Mine too, but thankfully Thomas seems to know what he's looking for."

The building was bright and cheerful, with a reception area and a built-in front desk. "The ad said there were rooms in the back, which is great because I want there to be a shelter bit, as well as rooms to run groups and things," Thomas said, dashing off to the back.

"He's very motivated," Galina said approvingly. "Much more organised than the place I worked for in Russia."

"From what I've seen of Thomas, that's very true to form," Isaiah replied. "He gets an idea into his head, and he'll get it done." He took his time walking through the space, trying to imagine it full of people and the moving parts of an office setting.

"It's nice," he said, after a few moments. "Very open. Takes away some of the intimidation that might come with coming in in the first place."

	Isaiah shrugged, and started to say that he'd managed, but he couldn't get the words out. So he nodded slowly instead. "No, they shouldn't. And now I have my brothers, so they're helping a lot, just by being there. And I'm glad too. We survived, you know? I have to remind myself of that, some days." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"I'm glad both of you did," Isaiah told her. "I did some research on human trafficking and sexual slavery, and it's just...those numbers are way too high. And the sexual crime stats are just as bad. 	"They really are, which is why I am hoping we can get the cops in with us so we can work on getting into taking down human traffikers and saving people involved. Seeing as Svetka married a kind of cop, I think we have a chance," Galina smiled. "She really got lucky there. She was brought here as a mail order bride and ended up with an angel. "Right? Apparently she was bought for him by Hermes so he's an asshole," she said, adding a swear in Russian. Thomas poked his head out then and called out for them.

"There are like huge rooms back here, we could totally turn them into bunk rooms and stuff! And the staff room kitchen area is dope! I...can't believe I just said dope..."

Galina chuckled and reached out her arms, hoping Isaiah would help her down from the desk.

"Oh he sounds charming," Isaiah said dryly. He looked up when he heard Thomas' voice, chuckling at his words.

He was a bit unsure of how to approach Galina, since even before his teens, Isaiah wasn't a casual touch sort of person. But he was trying to conquer his fear of touching anyone that wasn't related to him, so he approached the desk and helped Galina down. He didn't immediately burst into flames (sometimes he was a wee bit dramatic), so he counted that as a victory. "Let's go see the dope staff kitchen, hmm?"

Galina smiled and fell into step beside Isaiah, watching him as they walked into the back. He was such a sweet person, really, at least as far as she knew him. She respected that about him.

Thomas was standing in the staff kitchen, which was indeed large and well appointed. "I think it's the best one yet," Thomas said, sounding pleased.

"If we had people staying here, this is great. We could cook for them easily." Galina knew that cooking for lots of people took space and equipment.

	"Jesse could probably help with that, he loves cooking," Isaiah told them. "O hope at least some of them like Cajun food." He leaned against the door frame, taking it all in. "Oh man, it's so good," Isaiah told her, animating more now that they were on a subject that didn't make him feel slightly ill at times. "It's like...spicy and hearty, and there's more smoked, or grilled, or fried meat than you can shake a stick at. And then there's dessert. Which is practically required. You could probably come to our house for dinner sometime, Jesse loves to cook and he always makes enough to feed the neighborhood." The invite slipped out before he could stop himself, but he didn't take it back. It'd be fine. He was pretty sure.
