WHO: Euterpe & Mozart
WHEN: Sunday night
WHERE: Mozart's place
WHAT: A very annoyed muse is feeling neglected
Ever since Constance had returned into Wolfgang's life, everything was about her.
By the standards of her kind, Euterpe - along with the rest of her muses sisters - were not so easy to anger. The slightest offense could infuriate an Olympian and send them into a rage spiral which meant someone was getting turned into something unpleasant, but the muses had only punished a few people in their history.
But, that said, Euterpe kind of wanted to turn Wolfgang into a toad right about now.
It wasn't that he was in love with Constance, so much as the way he ignored Euterpe in favour of his reborn human wife. The muse had been putting up with it because she'd loved him so long, but Euterpe was a goddess, the daughter of Zeus and the giver of song. She should have been worshipped and adored like she deserved. And, yes, sometimes Wolfgang did treat her like that but... it was hard to remember the last time he hadn't been letting himself fall apart all about his dead wife.
And Euterpe was tired of it. Tired of being second choice even though Wolfgang claimed she wasn't. She should have been with someone who would put her above other women. She deserved that!
She unlocked Wolfgang's door with her spare key and made her way inside, not feeling like knocking and already being the one having to wait for him. If his excuses were terrible and he feigned innocence about this whole thing, Euterpe thought it just might be smiting time, despite how she felt about him.
