Ann looked at him, "You mean years?" She was confused (and concerned) by his use of the word centuries because that would be crazy. She knew him to be very eccentric, but certainly not insane. "No, I understand how exciting it is to finally find a student who makes your class interesting and who takes an interest in what you're teaching."
She was still dwelling on his very strange use of that word and it was probably very evident in her face. But no matter! "My mom loves books. She used to be a librarian, but she retired a few years ago. Well, she had become a librarian after she and my dad mended their relationship when she went back to him after breaking up with this crazy man who thought he was William Shakespeare," she said with a laugh and looked back to the huge screen. It was an innocent comment, but she didn't realize the impact it actually had on her life.
