Norah couldn't help feeling guarded when she realized the mans destination appeared to be Ciaran's apartment. When he got closer and posed his question, she slid the hastily finished note under the door. She couldn't help feeling unsafe anywhere she went, at least when her brothers weren't around. So in her mind she thought that at least Lachlan or Ciaran would know she had been there should anything unfortunate happen to her.
She turned to look at the man and shook her head, "Neither of them appear to be here." In all the years she had been in American, Norah's accent had been almost unchanged. It wasn't as heavy as when they first arrived, but it was still very obviously Scottish. If this man happened to know Lachlan he could put two and two together.
