Thomas tried to reach out, but his muscles still wouldn't cooperate, so he let Jamie help him. He managed not to be greedy this time, because he didn't want Jamie to pull the bottle away from him. Even though it was his son, having precious water taken away right now felt like torture.
Lena rubbed shampoo into Thomas' hair, using the time to check for injuries. "No bumps on the head, thank god," she said, trying to keep her voice calm. "It actually seems like he didn't...er- You know- injure you."
"Just drugs," Thomas acknowledged. "Drugs n'- Drugs n'...other not injure-y things."
Lena was a little disturbed to think what that might mean.
