Who: Elizabeth & Alexander the Great
What: Historical HBICs meeeting
When: Sunday afternoon
Where: Coffee shop
While it was still nice outside, Alexander hated to be cooped up in the house. All too soon, winter would come, bringing with it snow and icy winds that kept him inside until spring came again. So he was determined to take advantage of the sunshine while he could.
He spent most of the morning and early afternoon simply walking, looking at the vibrantly colored trees, and letting the wind and the light dance along his skin. He caught a glimpse of himself in a shop window, and remembered a remark Clio had made about people remembering 'golden Alexander'. It made him laugh to himself as he kept walking.
The aroma of cinnamon and vanilla wafting out of a nearby building drew him inside, unbuttoning his coat as he got in line. He ordered a large coffee, extra-hot, and took it to a table by the window. Leaves and people passed in front of the glass, and he simply watched them for a time, sipping at his drink.
