Nikkie had spent the week tense and not sleeping much. She was worried about Lena, and eventually Anthony had sent her back to her house, because she'd been too distracted to really be much help around the agency.

"Monique, I managed without you for quite a while, another few days isn't going to make the office fall into disarray," he said, gently but firmly bundling her out the door. "Go home. Sleep. Text or call people. I'll pray for your friend." She'd gone, but with rather ill grace, only to fall into fitful sleep as soon as she'd gotten home.

She'd woken up Saturday afternoon to a text from Joey, telling her that Lena had been found. She was in the hospital, and Joey was going to see her, if she wanted to come along. After texting him back to say yes, she definitely wanted to, she threw on clean clothes and hurried out the door. She picked up a bouquet of flowers to try and brighten up Lena's room a bit, and continued on to the hospital. She found Joey at the entrance and hugged him, asking, "Have you seen her yet? How is she?"
