Who: Greed and Zoe
What: Plan B in action!
When: Christmas Eve! December 24th, 5-6 am!
Where: NY subway, Greed's apartment
Warnings: Sketchy stalkers are sketchy!
Notes: Set this up early Lucky as I think tomorrow is gonna be busy for peeps! I know I get the joy of working on Christmas Eve.
It didn't take long for Greed to go out and find a suspect for his big plan. He had an entire row of these goons lined up ready for a mug shot before he settled on the right one. He could have just thrown all of them at her but then that could turn ugly fast. He just wanted to scare her a little bit. Make her run so he could swoop in as a white knight. She'd believe it, let him in enough and whisk her off to Kansas in the morning. It was pretty brilliant. Wrath or Zoe couldn't string him up if he'd saved the day!
Greed had set up everything down to the minute. It was still dark outside, the sun hadn't even risen yet. It was the right time of day when not a lot of people were bustling around the subway system. Even if it was Christmas Eve, it was still quite early, there wasn't many out aside from the homeless at the bottom of the station. The man Greed had labeled as "Idiot Joe" texted him the moment he spotted their target. Greed had overheard a while ago that every Christmas Zoe went to visit her parents grave. Sentimental stuff that humans loved to hang on to. So he knew without a shadow of a doubt that she would be there at exactly 5 o'clock. The trip was further out so there was some time for her to get uncomfortable until her stop.
Joe sat a few seats down even with a nearly empty car. He was supposed to just be a shadow that made a few faces and hoovered over her once the car stopped. Greed was supposed to be a few stops down, giving Joe plenty of time to do magic. Greed was sure he didn't get all his money until the job was done first, unfortunately the little Sin missed his train. He either sat around for another one (but by then it would be an hour or so too late and the opportunity would be missed) or he ran back to get his car. He went with option B. Which would put him a good fifteen minutes behind schedule.
