Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:hecate, hermes, saint patrick, the antichrist

WHO: Patrick, Hermes, Hecate and the Antichrist
WHAT: Putting the Antichrist IN A BOX AKA MY FAVOURITE THING EVER TO HAVE HAPPENED
WHEN: Backdated to Saturday
WHERE: Some abandoned building Hermes owns
WARNINGS: Language, TBD

Patrick was a little worried about acting as bait, but the idea of not having to worry about the Antichrist for a while was worth the fear. He dropped enough hints that he was sure the minions who were watching him would let Joshua know where he was going, and he wasn't wrong.

He entered the building, pretending he was meeting a client who was down on their luck there. Within seconds Joshua had entered as well, just as smarmily as he always did. "Ah, Saint Patrick," he said with a wicked grin. "Big mistake coming out on your own."

Patrick raised his eyebrows at that. He wasn't alone, but he didn't know exactly where Hermes and Hecate were. He knew they needed Joshua's blood and then there were going to do a spell, but he wasn't entirely sure what to do until they showed up. "What do you want?" Patrick hissed, trying to look like he was terrified.

"Just you," Joshua purred. "I just want to play a little."

Hecate had prepared for war. She didn't know this thing, and she'd drawn all her back up power into her to make sure she stood a chance. The Saint had drawn it here and it had confused her. She could read power, and the Saint outmatched this creature.

She'd never get Christians though. She was just comforted by the fact that she could probably take this thing.

She motioned Hermes to come up behind the thing, as she stepped forward. The baying of dogs was close by and she studied this thing with interest. "Funny. So do I." She grinned unpleasantly and tilted her head. She could call her torches in an instant and her magic was close at hand, but mainly she was giving Hermes a chance to get behind it. And she trusted her husband.

"Funny. You lot never do see the obvious." She slid her gaze to the Saint and smiled.

Patrick returned the smile, a little awkwardly, and then he just got out of the way.

Joshua raised his eyebrows, not even noticing Hermes slink up behind him. "Who the fuck are you, bitch?" Joshua hissed at Hecate.

She remained still and quiet, raising her head at this thing. "The thing that goes bump in the night. No more. No less." Casually she set her hands in front of her, letting the power run through her and ready in case she needed it.

"Someone to remind you that even though you stand at the top of the mountain, there is always something there to bring you down." she glanced to Hermes and gave him a nod.

Joshua was still staring at the woman, dumbfounded and obviously not worried at all when Hermes pulled a knife and slashed at his arm. He nodded back to his wife, the blood obtained.

"Ow, what in the fuck?" Joshua yelled.

"Keep him from going anywhere." Whether she was speaking to Hermes or the Saint wasn't really clear, but she walked to Hermes and took the knife. She brushed her hand over the blade and let the blood stain her hand before looking to the thing.

Then she started to chant. It was the language of the dead and the language of magic all together. The dogs sounded closer and serpents weaved through her hair.

To her it felt like forever, but after a few moments a key appeared in her hands. Blinking she stumbled andwent to her knees. She had some power, but it always took a lot to do these things. Now she felt dizzy, but not as bad as she'd felt when she'd made Zeus into stone. Breathing hard she looked to Hermes. "Box. Please." She'd need the rest for the other enchantments.

Patrick had no problem keeping Joshua from escaping. He knew now he could push him with his mind and so he wasn't afraid to stand his ground even as Joshua growled at him.

Whatever Hecate was doing it was making him dizzy and he fell to the ground just like Hecate did.

Hermes was quick in retrieving the box because the sooner they locked this dickweed in there, the sooner he could make sure his wife was okay.

"What are you doing?!" Joshua moaned.

She pushed herself up, and rose to her feet. It helped when she thought of the things she'd need to do once the thing was helping. The benefit of this was also outweighing the drawbacks. And Hermes would see her home safe.

"Vengeance. Reminding you that while you sit on top of your mountain, you can still fall down." She set a shaky hand on her forehead and drew in a breath. "If one of you put him in the box, I'll lock him in. Love," she looked at Hermes, "I need you to put your sigils on the windows and doors. Point them inwards if you can. Use your blood. I'll seal it up when I'm done."

She took a breath and sat down, "Saint, you get the key when I'm done. Try not to lose it. And you
so
owe me."

Hermes took absolute joy in tossing the devil in the box. Joshua fel heady and he didn't even struggle as Hermes cut his finger and drew the sigils Hecate asked for. Then he closed the lid and nodded to his wife. "Finished," he said firmly, going to stand near her so he could catch her if she needed it.

Patrick didn't know what the hell he would do with the key beyond giving it to Clio. But he nodded anyway. "I'll do anything," he agreed.

She nodded and then set her hands on the box. Then she expelled all the power she had in her and pumped it into the box, and along the sigils Hermes had drawn. The key began gaining the same sigils, and she knew no one save the ones who held that could get in here, or open the box.

When she finished she felt she'd just imploded something and all that was left was a vacuum. She had enough energy to take her hands from the box before she fell back, knowing Hermes was right there and it would be alright if she passed out for a while.

Hermes caught Hecate easily and he made sure no harm came to her. "There we go, love," he said, stroking her hair.

"Er..." Patrick looked around, slightly unnerved by everything he had seen. "Is she okay?"

"She will be," Hermes assured the Saint. He took the key and handed it over to Patrick. "Don't lose that."

"Heh. No, I- No. I won't. Are you sure she's okay?"

"Stop fussing, Saint," Hermes said sternly. He would get her home where she could rest.

OOC: ALWAYS yes

She could hear, dimly, the conversation but her body needed the rest. She still had some power, still worshipers whispering her name, but not a lot. Not as much as she'd once had. From a corner, Hekuba padded over and licked her mistresses hand.

A few ghosts slid around, undetectable to most, and went and stood at specific spots. Insurance, just in case it was needed. She'd know if her wards and sigils ended up getting broken. The dead always saw everything.
