WHO: Idunn & Bragi
WHEN: Wednesday morning
WHERE: Bragi's apartment
WHAT: Actual talkies

It had been a month since Idunn had been reunited with her husband, which anyone would think meant they'd talked extensively about their lives in America since they'd been apart.

Anyone would have been wrong, because Idunn and Bragi hadn't really managed to talk too much. It was a busy time for Idunn and she was needed at the orchard most days, so when she got the chance to be with Bragi properly - which she did about twice a week - they talk consisted mostly of praising each other and pillow talk.

But the orchard was slowing down and Idunn was starting to think more and more on Bragi's life here and of the things she needed to tell him as well. She'd stayed over the last two days and it was mid-morning when she rolled over in his bed to place a kiss on his shoulder. "Bragi," she whispered. "You should wake up."

He wasn't sure how to take in this news. In his heart he had already known. After all, years and years apart without some sort of emotional or physical comfort seemed an absurd request. It still made him tense, his jaw closing tightly as he looked at her. He couldn't say he felt hurt, though. Jealous of course, but not hurt. She hadn't really cheated because they hadn't seen each other. It was also a way for him to make his own past lovers and wives something not to feel guilty about. He didn't need to know more than that. "I see," he said a little more gruffly than he had meant. "What's in the past is past. It doesn't matter now," he said with a forced smile. "But if we're going to be completely honest here, you should know I've been married multiple times. In fact, like you I was in a relationship when we found each other again. I was married, but the day after we ran into each other," there was a little grin as he thought of it, "I asked for a divorce."

When first he spoke, Idunn's throat had closed up in fear. Was he furious with her? But then he continued and she relaxed somewhat, although now there was newfound jealousy of her own. She leaned forward and kissed him softly. "But from now on it'll only be the two of us, won't it?"

"Your marriage to this woman," Idunn added. "Is it broken yet, or are you still technically a married man?"

Bragi wasn't like many other Norse men. While he had always been free to pick and choose women as he wanted he didn't stray. At least not until they were separated from each other and he couldn't find her. And even then it had been years before he decided he needed something. They all meant something to him in their own way, but compared to Idunn they were nothing. He nodded, "Of course. Just us, as it should be," he smiled.

"It's broken," he didn't seemed particularly upset at being newly divorced from the mortal.

"I love you," Idunn smiled brightly then and sighed happily, leaning into him. None of her mortal husbands had been Bragi, although at the time each one had made her happy and given her something she'd needed. "It feels so good just to be back in your arms."

Bragi smiled genuinely then, because even with as tense as that could have gotten and as jealous as he felt at the thought of another man putting his hands on her, he was truly happy. He would do anything for her. He always had and he always would. "I love you, too." He wrapped his arm around her and kissed the top of her head. "Hopefully it stays this way."

"Of course it will," Idunn promised him, always upbeat about all things. "I've been thinking about our living arrangements though. I've got an apartment I keep here in the city, but I'm hardly ever there. Mostly I'm upstate on the orchard. And..." she sat up to look at him, letting the blankets fall off her as she watched Bragi. "I can't leave my apples, Brigi. I want to live with you and be with you all the time but..." she shook her head. "I have stay where my apple trees grow."

He could only hope that mortals kept believing in them. It was pretty much the only way of surviving now. He was just thankful she has back in his life, where she belonged. Ah, the talk of where to live. Of course that would be next. He nodded slowly, considering her words. "Of course I can't ask you to leave the orchard," he agreed in thought. "Honestly, I have hardly any ties to the city apart from the coffee shop. It wouldn't break my heart to move out of here, though I'd like to keep it for when we're in the city. I have no problem living with you where your apples grow."

"Really?" Idunn asked with growing excitement, her smile bright. "You'd really leave the city for me?" She leaned down to kiss him suddenly. "Oh Bragi, you'll love the orchard, it's so beautiful, and I'll do everything there to make you so happy!"

Bragi simply nodded, "Of course I would. Wherever you go, I go." They belonged together. Never before had a pair matched so perfectly. He chuckled at her response. "Idunn, there is hardly more you can do to make me happier. Simply being with you makes me happy and that's enough." Of course, he did so enjoy their romps.

"I'll sell my apartment in the city," Idunn said. "I won't need it if we've got yours." She lay back down beside him, circling her fingers over his chest. "And most of the time out there, it would just be the two of us. There's no one else around for miles." Her smile was slightly devious then.
