Stuck in Baltimore was the very last thing that Natalie wanted. Watching the news reports from her hotel room were awful and she was chewing her nails down to the stubs with nerves.

So when flight bans were finally lifted on Monday morning, Natalie was desperate to get back to New York. But then, so were thousands of other people who'd be stranded in cities across the country and the rest of the world. With such a backlog of flights, the New York airports were going crazy and it wasn't until Wednesday that Natalie was able to get home. (Behind the scenes at JFK Airport everything was mental and Natalie was glad that she only had to deal with it on the surface level. She couldn't imagine having to actually be working there with all this going on.)

She texted Con to let him know she was in and heading to his place and then zipped her bike through the streets, trying to spot any differences. But it just looked like New York.

At Con's she let herself in and dropped her keys on the sideboard. "Hey, I'm home!" she called out, shrugging off her leather jacket.

	Natalie clung to Conrad tightly. "I remember last time," she told him as they hugged. "I'm glad I didn't have to see it again." Last time she'd been in the air when that supernatural darkness had struck. She was so thankful that hadn't been the case again. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"The last time was unfortunate for many." He held her close thankful that she was safe. "Emma stayed here until it was over." It had allowed him to be a father for what could have been a disastrous relationship. He had been Conrad now for quite some time and he honestly hoped it stayed that way. He didn't enjoy losing the two women in his life that meant everything. (Reply to this) (Parent)
