WHO: Sloth and Greed
WHEN: late Wednesday
WHERE: on the street
WHAT: Not quite apologising

Sloth sat by himself on the back of a parked car, sparking a lighter. He'd got tired of sitting inside, and had decided to get some fresh air and smoke outside instead. So he'd gone for a walk, and when he'd got tired he'd hoisted himself onto the back of the car and rolled himself a joint. A police officer had stopped to inquire into his activities, but had inexplicably not seen the point in writing anything down. People would just keep breaking the law anyway. What was the point in prosecuting tiny infractions like this? So Sloth sat in the gathering dusk and shook his lighter, frustrated. The thing wouldn't spark long enough to light anything and he had no money to buy a new one. Surely if he kept trying, he'd be able to get enough flame. The spark was sluggish though, and wouldn't catch.

At least Sloth wasn't pushy, the bastard was too damn lazy to pry into his business. It was good, because he liked Sloth better when he was on his side.

Greed cleared his throat. He was over it now, but it had been a sore spot for a while. As long as Sloth didn't do it again. "She's Lascivious Lust again. I can't complain."

Nodding slowly, Sloth took his joint back. "Okay. Good." He sniffed and rubbed his nose on his sleeve. He glanced at Greed again, scraping his mind for something to say. "Um. Are you hungry?"

"There won't be a next time Sloth," that was his only warning. They could all push their boundaries too far, Greed had done it before. It hadn't been with his siblings, but if he ever woke up one day to that dark side that all of them could possess, there would be hell in his path.

He ruffled Sloth's hair like an older brother. "Starving."

Sloth lifted his chin and gave Greed a steady look, not defiant but not giving way either. It was understood.

He slid off the back of the car, sucked down the last of his joint, then crushed the butt under his toe. He nodded towards a Burger King not far away, and shoved his hands in his pockets. "But I don't have any money."

Greed rolled his eyes. "You lazy shit, get a job as a lab rat or something. Then you'll have money. You know how I am with sharing." He pushed Sloth forward. It was like asking a slug not to bake in the sun.

"You tell me how to get Patience off my ass and I'll buy you anything you fucking want. Even trade." Deal making worked even if he lost money, as long as it got him what he wanted.

Sloth looked a little thoughtful at the suggestion, then smirked. "Bury him alive. See how patient he is then." He sniggered, a malicious glint in his eye. "Come on man, I'm hungry."

"How deep of a hole?" He snickered. At the push he rolled his eyes. "Fine, get moving then." He pressed him forward. The boy was entirely too slow at times. Greed was of the impatient sort.
