Echo made a little sound as he pushed her off, surprised at the turn of events. Her voice had grown to a whisper as she repeated his words, watching him with agony. She hated this. She hated that because she refused he had turned so easily. She jumped up, unable to really do anything. She came closer, trying to hold him as she had so many years before.
