Who: Sol & Skoll
What: Conversations between captor and captive. Also, one seriously unhappy Sol.
When: Tuesday afternoon
Where: Skoll's apartment
Keeping a sun goddess captive in his apartment turned out to be a bit simpler than Skoll had thought. He hadn't heard any sort of uproar about her disappearance, and every night, she fell asleep as soon as the sun went down.
The only problem was that now that he had his Sun, he wasn't sure what to do with her. He hadn't hurt her, the thought had never crossed his mind. He'd been spending more and more time in the forest lately, but that was only going to work for a short time. He had to go back eventually and figure out what was going on.
He entered his apartment, finding it quiet and full of light. He sat down the bag of groceries he'd picked up on the way there. "Where are you, little Sun?" he called.

It had been almost a month since Sol's disappearance. In all honesty, it didn't surprise her that no one came looking for her. There were few around who really cared about the sun goddess and even fewer who had the strength to fight for her safe return. It didn't help that she hadn't been in contact with a single of her pantheon save for Skoll, and that was only because he insisted on bothering her all the time. She had thought that maybe if she stayed away that Ragnarok would never happen.
When she heard the door open she sat up straight and stared off down the hallway. Skoll had certainly made sure she wouldn't be able to get out. Bolts on the doors and windows certainly didn't help her out.
She didn't answer, she just stared off down the hall. The only comfort was that it wasn't his brother or father.

She didn't appear when he called out, but that wasn't a surprise. And as far as he knew, no one knew he was keeping her here, and even if they did, he wouldn't have brought them here. But there weren't many places for her to go, so he simply checked room to room til he found her.
"Brought some food," he told her, his voice sounding very loud all of a sudden. "Thought you might be hungry."

Sol merely crossed her arms and looked out the window, wishing she were outside in the sunlight. She shouldn't be inside all the time like this. Skoll was such an idiot! She wanted to strangle him and get out of there, but she had already learned she was no match for him.
"It isn't raw, is it?" She was still very resentful about this whole situation. From the moment she had been brought here she wished she had talked to at least one of the others. She was a fool in her own right.

Skoll resisted the urge to sigh. He might not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but he could tell she was angry. He knew being kept inside was not her idea of an ideal situation. But that was all shoved aside by the thought of 'My Sun. Mine.'
"If it is, I can cook it," he answered. "Didn't know what you wanted, so I got a little of everything." Right now, he was wishing he'd stayed in the forest with Hati. Things made much more sense there.

Yeah, saying Sol was angry was an understatement. She was so furious with him she was at the point of exhaustion. She might as well just give up and let him do whatever it was he wanted, because she saw absolutely no way out of this.
"No, I can," she practically snapped. She didn't need him or anyone else cooking for her. At least he wasn't starving her, she gave him that. But then, what was the point of this existence? "I'm not picky," she said in a small voice.

An exhausted Sun that was just going to give up was not what he wanted at all. He lived for the chase, for some kind of fight, and to not have that was disappointing.
He shrugged. "If that's what you want. Didn't want you starving on me." He gestured to the contents of the bag. "It's there, if you want it." This whole conversation was becoming a bit awkward for him, but he'd been putting it off ever since he'd brought her here, so he figured it was time.

For a long time Sol had wished she could stop running, but now that she had the opportunity it wasn't what she wanted at all. She wanted to get out, needed to get out.
"You prefer me plump, anyhow," she said without disguising her resentment. She looked at the bag with curiosity before finally picking it up. "Thank you," she said quietly.

Skoll knew that if he let her out, he'd never see her again. Then again, the chase would be back on, and he was becoming more and more sure that he liked that more. But one thing at a time.
"Maybe so," he said, with the ghost of a smile. "But better that than skinny and starving, don't you think?" He nodded once. "You're welcome," he said. "Need anything else, just tell me."

Chances were he would track her down faster than she could get out of the country. That was her intention once she got out of this place. She would leave, hide somewhere he'd never think to look. But what she didn't know was that time outside of the country was limited.
She smirked, "Right out of the wolf's mouth." She looked up at him, eyes narrowed, "What I need is to be outside. You know this."

And therein was the rub. An angry Sun was not something he wanted, but giving her the thing that would make her happy-her freedom-was not something he wanted to do.
"I'm not going to eat you," he said, with a smirk of his own. "And you know I can't do that. I'd never see you again."

She huffed past him to the kitchen, "How do you know that? Our destinies are intertwined, you will always see me, even if I don't want to." She grumbled, looking from cabinet to cabinet. "Gods, where are your plates? Where are the pots and pans? How am I supposed to cook without these things?" She just wanted to jump from the window and be done with it.

He threw up his hands and followed her. "Didn't find you til recently, you must have gotten good at hiding. I can't tell the future."
"She asks these things of a man who's really a wolf," he grumbled. "I usually eat what I hunt. You want plates, pots, and pans, I can get them for you. Or call someone to bring food." It seemed like there was no pleasing her, but had he really expected anything else?

"But you know what the future holds," she said with force. "No matter where we are you will devour me in the End."
"What do you expect? I'm not a wolf. I'm not an animal. I don't go hunting like you. I can't stay inside all the time. I am Sun, not Moon. Being inside like this, away from air and life will only make me wilt."

"And who knows when that will be?!" he asked, equally forcefully. "Hati thinks Ragnarok has come and gone, and maybe he's right! Maybe we're just relics, rattling around because humans sort of remember us."
"Could come running with me," he suggested idly. "Could go outside, feel the air and the light."

Sol stopped what she was doing just to glare at him. He was being very immature about this whole thing. From taking her to not letting her go anywhere. "Maybe he is, but we don't know fore sure. And to be honest, I really don't care one way or another. I just know I'm not meant to be inside like this. I am to live and when my end has come I have to suck it up and let it happen." It was something she always knew, even if she hated it.
She considered him a moment, not sure if he was being serious of just talking for the sake of making this conversation go more smoothly. "You would let me?"

He met her glare, standing his ground as best he could. "If you don't care, then why get upset? If you have to 'let it happen', why fight? Sometimes you confuse me."
"Keep saying you want to go outside," he muttered. "We could go running, and you could get out, stretch your legs and breathe the air." He knew if she got to go out, she'd try to escape, so he would have to be watchful.

"It's not my fault my father was foolish," she said in defense, even if it really had nothing to do with the argument. In her mind it had everything to do with her existence. If he hadn't named her and Mani for their beauty they probably wouldn't be in this position and she wouldn't hate the wolves.
She considered him again, silent for almost an entire minute. When she finally answered it seemed that her voice was much louder than before and it was a little startling, "Alright. Let's go. Now. But I run with you, not from you. This is for me, not you."
