Who: Sol & Skoll
What: Skoll finally finds his Sun
When: Sunday afternoon
Where: Grocery store
Warnings: Uhm...Skoll being creepy? Other than that, TBD
Skoll had had a lot on his mind the last few days, but always at the front of it was, Where is my Sun? I want my Sun. Need to find her., on a loop, day after day.
He was out wandering the city, and if anyone asked, he just planned to say he was getting hot dogs for Alpha. So imagine his surprise when he felt the familiar pang of another immortal...and it was someone from home. If he'd been in wolf form, his ears would have pricked up, but as it was, he went still, turning slowly, looking for the direction of the feeling.
That way.
He followed the feeling until it led him to a grocery store about a block away, walking inside and casting his gaze around. They had to be in here somewhere. And he was hoping beyond hope that it was Sun.

Even though she had told Mani she would hole herself up in her apartment for the rest of her life, which wasn't something good to promise in the first place, she couldn't stand it any longer. Upon arriving home a few days before she hadn't gone shopping. It had been straight home from the airport and into bed. It had been the news of the wolves that had frightened her into not leaving for those few days.
But finally, hunger had gotten the best of her. She needed sustenance.
And that would be her downfall.
She had felt the presence long before it had arrived and she had a sudden excited feeling. Perhaps it was Mani, come to see her. Despite knowing full well her brother would probably be passed out at this hour of the day she still had the childish excitement of seeing him again.
With a basket full of items she stopped where she stood, almost setting the bag of apples in the basket and just staring ahead at the end of the aisle.

Skoll hadn't been able to get a definite fix when he stepped inside, but as he checked each aisle, the feeling got stronger. He had to be getting closer.
Finally, he found what had to be the right one. He saw her at the other end, a young woman with long red hair, just staring at him. It was her. It was his Sun.
He made it down the aisle in a few long strides, stopping just short of her, but still probably too close (Skoll didn't really understand the concept of personal space). He spent a few long moments just looking at her.
"Finally found you, my little Sun," he said in a low voice. "Where have you been hiding all this time?"

The thought of it possibly being her brother still gave her hope. What betrayed her was that she hadn't actually been close to other Norse in so long, and her brother was no exception. She couldn't distinguish who was who by simple feeling.
Then just as suddenly as she had felt him she saw a blond head and excitement once again welled up inside her.
And just as quickly it went away when she realized it wasn't the blond she wanted to see. She looked like a dear caught in head lights the way she just stared in both shock and fear. This was the very last thing she needed. Even Fenrir or Hati wouldn't have been as bad as running into the wolf who was destined to end her.
Disregarding his words she dropped what she was holding and turned tail the other way. There were no words she could possibly say right now that had any worth. Begging for her life would be fruitless. All she knew was to run. So run she did.

He hadn't been expecting her to run without saying anything, but at the same time, he was. They'd been doing their dance for so long, he'd been chasing her for so long, that slipping back into the same pattern didn't take any thought at all.
He followed in the direction she'd run, always making sure she stayed in his sights. He wasn't going to let her slip away again, not after all this time.

And there it was. Even if she had spent years hiding and running in secret without a wolf at her heels, she had known that one day it would continue. Especially when she heard the news of the wolves in New York. Why hadn't she kept her word? She had let hunger take over. She could have ordered from the store. Now she was running again.
At first it was just a frantic search for the front. It was like she had forgotten which way was up and which was down. At least he hadn't brought the others. When she found a clear shot to the front she bolted. She didn't care about the strange looks she got and she only hoped she could lose him in the crowd outside.

He watched her scramble to find the exit, following at a more sedate pace. Not only to avoid attracting attention, but also because to him, there was no need to hurry. Now that he'd found her, that bright pang of immortal, of Sun, would always be in his mind, and he'd be able to know it anywhere.
He left the store, scanning the street and following the feeling. "Can't run from me, little Sun," he murmured to himself. "Not this time."

So it begins again. Sol ran through the crowd, picking up speed and hoping she might lose him somewhere along the way. Chances were, she wouldn't. But maybe, just maybe, if she got far enough ahead of him he wouldn't be able to find exactly where she lived.
Still. Doubtful.
Plus it was a little hard hiding that flying red hair.
