Asterion had been asked to come and meet the group of men who had been rescued from the fighting ring. He had been putting it off for awhile, but he was running out of excuses and so now was as good as it was going to get. He had arranged to meet with one of the guys early so they could talk about how it was going to go.

He was nervous. Not that he had the words for it, but his stomach felt funny, and he very much wasn't looking forward to it. "I feel like I've run a race," he informed Erato, who had volunteered to come with him. "Is that normal?"

Erato petted Asterion's forearm and smiled up at him. "You are worried; that's normal, honey," she said soothingly.

She was very much enjoying feeling more like her old self these days. She hadn't gone back to working yet though, preferring to indulge herself at home, going to the library or the coffee shop or the museum in picturesque ways, spending an afternoon chatting to someone or other to bolster their creative juices. She liked being her own woman again. Having the confidence to go about without panicking at every unusual sound was a good feeling.

She was quite happy to accompany Asterion on his trip today. She liked helping him in his journeys into emotional vulnerability, because seeing him being sweet and open was pretty romantic and attractive to her. Not that she was doing it just for that. She wanted to be his friend too.

"Why would they hate you?" Erato couldn't see that happening, not her big sweetheart. She checked her phone as it chimed. "The uber is here. You're doing the right thing. You're reaching out to help people who are now where you have been. It shows what a big heart you have." Picking up her handbag, she came back and slipped her hand into his, and gave it a gentle squeeze to encourage him.

	Elijah wasn't worried about making friends, he was worried about Asterion the Minotaur pounding him into oblivion if he found out Elijah had been with Erato. How did he keep ending up in situations like this?! "I- I'm sorry, I'm just a little taken aback," Elijah admitted. "How do you know Erato?" Asterion asked, and Eli cast Erato a panicky look. 	Erato looked up at Asterion with a smile as if to say, see, I told you nobody would hate you. She was very proud of the progress he'd made. "It certainly is," she agreed. "Vulnerability is difficult, but it is necessary, or all of this will eat at your soul for the rest of your days. You survived it, darling, and you're helping again now. It's a good thing." 	"We're just getting to know one another," Elijah grinned, pleased his best friend was here now. "Mostly we've been talking about what it was like in there. Did you have any friends at all, Asterion? 	"It's a blessing to have you," Will said cheerfully. "Not many in that place willing to let down their barriers, so it's not a shock.
