Kyle smiled and clinked glasses, taking a long drink. At Jay's question he paused, knowing it was stupid to feign ignorance. "No," he said finally, "You don't need to know his name, he's married now. He got what he wanted." Well not everything, it was obvious Robin had expected to be able to keep Kyle's friendship, that everything would be perfect once he married like his parents wanted him to.
He looked away taking another drink, of course it was precisely what he didn't want to talk about and of course it was written all over his face. Kyle swirled the ice in his glass wondering if he were a different kind of guy if he would actually chuck it like he wanted to. He was all mixed up with misery and anger, but not tonight, he thought, pushing it back again and smiling, if a little bitterly, "Doesn't matter, soon enough I won't be running into strangers and everything will be back to normal."
