Noah watched the way her hair slipped forward, the long thick fan of her lashes as she looked down at the menu. The neckline of her dress showed the smooth lines of her shoulders and arms, dipped down in front to show a generous expanse of cleavage. Noah allowed himself a few seconds to look, to appreciate, then shifted his own glance to the menu. Warmth curled low in his belly, tightened, and he felt himself stir. Lisa was a beautiful woman; of course he was interested. But that wasn't entirely the reason for his interest.
Rahel had been beautiful, her face strong and exotic, and May had been delicately lovely, but neither of them had made him respond the way he did to Lisa. It had as much--or more, in all honesty--to do with Lisa's personality, her convictions, as anything else. He cleared his throat and smoothed his tie.
"I can recommend the Citrus Sake Glazed Flaming Drunken Shrimp--that always makes me grin, just saying that," he said, and did. "My dad always says that it sounds like a fight move from a Jackie Chan movie. The Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi is also very good, as well as the Misoyaki Glazed Black Cod. And then there's their extensive sushi and sashimi menu. Actually, anything you see is worth a try."
He closed his menu. "This has nothing to do with dining, but I'm curious. Do you dance? I assume, given your role in your organization that you probably do."
