Jeff had been up at 5:15 am and gone for what was now a regular run with Jay. The Australian was able to give him a challenge and he liked that. Noah wasn't going to have an easy time of it when he started to join them, though. Jeff knew they wouldn't push him too hard physically, but friendly joking about his fitness level and age were already percolating.
Run complete, shower done, Jeff went about the business of getting breakfast ready for Grace. He heard her moving about, having a shower. Heard the closet door opening. He beat the eggs and milk together, humming along with the radio as he poured the contents of the bowl into a warm pan. It was a veggie omelet this morning. Mushrooms, green peppers and avocado waited on a cutting board to be added later.
Jeff tilted his head slightly and listened. No sound from the bedroom. Hmmm. He hesitated, standing in his track pants, an old T-shirt and bare feet, poised to go and check on her. She was a capable person, though, and had a great set of lungs if she needed help. He returned to preparing breakfast, thinking of those great lungs and those fantastic boobs...
