The reaction was too lovely, and Nana almost didn't notice John leave, so absorbed as she was with her daughter. Rose wasn't a normal baby, but she did seem to act like one, which took a lot of weight off of her mother's heart. Nana couldn't wait for the day that she would be able to take Rose home and nurse her like a normal baby, to tuck her in at night in her own home and not in sterile hospital room. Hopefully she would be strong enough for that soon.
Nana looked up when he tapped on the glass, then nodded. She understood - He was still working, still had responsibilities. She was happy that he'd come to see her and brought her here. She knew that she had many people to rely on, but she trusted John more than almost anyone else. It was reassuring to know that he was there.
