John opened his own juice and took a sip. When had he last eaten? Too many hours ago, if he had to ask himself that question. After he left Nana, he'd go pick up a sandwich from the cafeteria before crashing in one of the rooms they had set aside for doctors. He had to be back at five am, and it was hardly worth the trouble of going home to sleep.
"Busy, but then when am I not?" He gave a little shrug; it was just a fact of life, hardly worth commenting on.
"I stopped by PICU earlier today and saw Rose. Talked with Dr. Rosenbaum, and she's doing well, much better than expected. Preliminary test results are looking good." The corner of his mouth lifted into a smile. "And she's very pretty. Favors you more than Andrew, I think. Fortunately."
