He nodded. "Okay. Consider it done. I'll put them in our storage locker in the basement. I'd throw them out, but they don't belong to us, so..."
Alex removed the light jacket he'd worn and dragged a hand through his hair. It was already getting longer again.
"Cacti is fine," he said. "Doesn't need a lot of attention, either. Whatever you want, I'm good."
Was she going to shop for food, sheets for both of them, plates, everything on this trip?
"We can have lunch here. Is that okay? We could make it or you could bring in some take-out..." Alex didn't know what she'd prefer. "And... I don't really know how to cook anything that doesn't go into a microwave. I can make sandwiches and stuff, but... Just so you know."
