"What about me?" Rahel queried, eyebrow arched. "This is home for me now, isn't it?"
She couldn't hide her annoyance entirely at the thought of being second best to his mother as far as the practical stuff went. Then again, living separate lives would perhaps be the better choice. Perhaps not bothering to pretend otherwise would make her life easier.
"I would like to have a few ground rules if we're going to live together. Along the lines of... if you bring someone home, friends or family or... anyway, please let me know in advance. And I'll do the same."
