She said that the women's shelters are full to overflowing with women escaping abusive situations--much more so than before the marriage laws. It's outrageous. It's more outrageous that the women are in violation of the law by leaving the situation--the law says cohabitation is mandatory. I wonder how many will be seriously hurt or killed before the law changes. How many children will be brought up in that sort of environment. That doesn't say a lot for their lauded family values, does it?"
