She hadn't even thought about that. There had been all sorts of out of work elementary school teachers, too, hadn't there? What would the universities do? She frowned a bit. "I'm really sorry. I hope that it works out for you... There's always a need for research, isn't there? So not all hope is lost." She smiled, then blushed just a little.
