She looked at him again, considering this. It wasn't that different from what Krista had asked her. Elaine turned her attention to the couch, where she was still picking at the stitches. She wasn't doing much damage at all, but it was something to do.
"I don't do anything. I don't want to do anything. Can't go out, can't get up most of the time," she muttered, frowning. The medication always took its time to really set in, but then it would, and she would be as miserable as she'd been off it. But Krista wanted her to take it again, and she was worried that she'd upset Krista a few nights ago...
She knew what she had to do. Much as she hated it, she knew what she had to do. "I'll start taking them again. I won't stop this time." Yes, she would. She promised herself she would, but the cycle was probably unlikely to break at this point.
