It had been a long night for everyone involved, but Rahel was still there, even if she had been told that she could go home. She was still awake, even if she could feel exhaustion tug at her. And yet she hadn't been the one to deliver a child into the world, not by far.
Her cousin had been moved to a private room, the previous hours of exhaustion still drawn clearly across her face. Rahel entered quietly, sliding the door shut behind her.
"I convinced them into bringing you pillows with organic cotton. It should be better on your neck. How are you feeling? Is the room okay? There's not much of a view."
