May shook her head. "It wasn't very detailed, I didn't get a chance to look at the others yet." That would have been too risky. The double doors opened and the same doctor was out again, and May was back on her feet.
"Thank you for looking into my son. Did you find out anything?"
"Nothing yet ma'am, it's looking like we are just waiting for a final exam..." the man said, crossing over to the desk. He picked up the clipboard, then glanced on the floor. "Excuse me, miss, did you see-"
"Charlie? She went that way, mentioned something about an admin check."
A small lie pieced from conversations heard in passing, staff tended to ignore those waiting, most seemed too concerned about waiting to take notice of them. It was sufficient, as the doctor relaxed about the vanished papers. Most would be back on the clipboard before anyone else could notice. In the meantime, the doctor pulled a blank form from a drawer and affixed it to the board. "Nothing to be concerned about, standard checkout procedure."
"Will someone let us know if there will be other delays? How long that will take?"
