"Oh, I see. Yeah," Krista replied, shaking her head, "my mom is just plain hopeless when it comes to technology. My sister on the other hand believes that any little bit of information stored in a computer can be uncovered and she refuses to touch them. She freaks out even if I use one because she thinks that my identity will not only be stolen but also erased or something."
She picked up a fork and toyed with her food a bit, wondering why she was going into such detail. Really, was she that starved for conversation?
"I know we have a problem with hackers - it's all over the news - but how good are the hackers? I feel like the media makes them out to be omnipotent entities. Does the press blow things up, because they need to point fingers somewhere? Or are hackers worthy of such attention?"
