"Oh, thanks," he said in regard to her agreement, chukling. "I think I'll pass on the field trip. They'll only show me what they want me to see," Carmine said with a snort. "And I can't go digging around in one of those places unless I've got official business doing so. Maybe if there's ever another suspicious death there I can poke around, but I'll probably be waiting a while." Because not ever torture resulted in death, and not every suicide was properly investigated.
