Getting around Seattle on foot was a slow, unamusing business. Teja had given her a ride in the morning and she would've picked her up too, except the University had a true bureaucratic machine to keep her busy. Tours, interviews, formal and informal meetings, sitting in and getting to grips with her predecessor's work and twelve hours later, she was only barely finished with work.
Rahel switched her bag from one shoulder to the other as she tried to orient herself. If all else failed, she could call Jasper - although she would have preferred to leave that be as a final option.
