Who: Elsie Strahm and Ethan Sawyer What: A chance meeting between colleagues When: Sunday evening, around 6pm Location: Harbor Steps Apartments Rating: PG-13 for language Status: Complete
Elsie closed the door to her apartment behind her, then turned and locked it. It was dinner time for her, and she didn't feel like cooking tonight. She could have ordered something to be delivered, but she wanted to get out for a little while. She'd been working on making her interview with Vivan Yahni into an article, and she'd been making revisions to it all day. She had to have it done for tomorrow's paper. It was close to completion, but she was in desperate need for a break.
She checked the lock a few times, just to make sure it was secure and no one could get in. The last thing she needed was anyone taking some of her contact information, her research, or even her article. Knowing just how backstabbing other journalists could be, Elsie couldn't be too careful. Besides, plenty of people knew she was against the pairing law, and would love to find anything to use against her, she was sure; though that could just be paranoia working against her. As she turned around to head to the elevator, she stopped short. There was another person in the hallway, someone she recognized--someone she'd known for a few years, now, and worked with. "Ethan?" she asked, puzzled.
