"Not necessarily," Noah replied, helping himself to some of the pancakes. "Saturdays are usually my run errands days, go to the outdoors market, clean the apartment, finish up anything I needed to get done during the week, but couldn't. And get any and all school-related work done. I always seem to have a lot to do, but I don't mind it, because I know that I can be lazy on Sundays. Sunday, I don't go out for my run. I sleep in, then make bagels and lox, and read the paper in bed with Spatula in my lap. It doesn't sound like much but I enjoy it. My one bit of self-indulgence." He tasted the pancakes, and hummed happily. "These are wonderful. Thank you for making them." He paused to take a sip of tea. "Do you like to do things like running or swimming?"
This was...nice. There was still a little undercurrent of tension, but it was more of the two-relative-strangers-sitting-together-and-playing nice sort of thing rather than hostility. He hoped that with time, even that would fade.
