"Thank you for having me, Miss Yahni," Elsie replied politely. Neither woman, it seemed was fond of the other, and it was a tense atmosphere at best. Yet, Elsie was impressed to be there, sitting in the office of the woman responsible for many of the goings-on at the Seattle Pairing Office. When she had asked for an interview, the reporter had expected something along the lines of a press release or a written communication or, at worse, to be declined.
Her voice recorder sat in her lap so she could catch anything she missed in her notes. Her notebook and pen were in her hands. "Before I ask any questions of my own, I'd like to give you a chance to say anything your office would like for the public to know, and we can go from there," Elsie said calmly.
