Alex smiled when she commented on his accent, not that he heard it himself.
"Thanks," he said, and stepped forward to order an extra large coffee and chocolate chip muffin. He paid for the items and headed for the little table, adding the equivalent of triple cream and pulling out three packets of sugar. Maybe he'd pay for it in twenty years, but his metabolism and level of exercise was more than enough to cover it for now.
